These models feature self-cleaning filtration. For the care and maintenance of these models refer to the maintenance procedures outlined for self-cleaning filtration.
Self Cleaning SPLIT UNITS

These models feature fully cyclonic filtration. For the care and maintenance of these models refer to the maintenance procedures outlined for fully cyclonic filtration. Note that the removable lid of your dirt canister may be removed for cleaning the perforated aluminum screen. If you are the owner of a Black Knight or a King III with self-cleaning filtration or fully cyclonic filtration please refer to the General and specific maintenance portion of this guide. Maintenance for these units is the same as described above. The permanent self-cleaning filter is located in the canister portion of your vacuum and should never be removed. Simply empty the dirt canister.
If you wish to clean your permanent self cleaning filter please refer to the methods described in the above paragraph.
