UNDERSTANDING THE FILTRATION SYSTEM OF YOUR UNIT
Fully Cyclonic separation is what makes our virtually maintenance free models so powerful. Centrifugal force and gravitational pull are used to deposit dirt into the canister. Unlike other models, our fully cyclonic power units have no disposable bags or filters to obstruct airflow. When properly maintained the result is maximum suction at all times. Please note that all of our fully cyclonic models require exterior venting. Fine dust particles are exhausted to the out doors assuring a total clean air environment. These units are fully cyclonic and require no bags or filters, which means virtually no maintenance! It is, however, important that they be vented to the outside, which helps to maintain cleaner air and an allergy free environment ensuring that all fine dust particles are directed outside while heavier dirt is cyclonically driven into the dirt canister.

You may also want, from time to time, to check the metal lint screen protecting the motor. This is accomplished by simply removing the dirt canister, reaching up and ensuring that no carpet fibres etc. are stuck to the screen, which is located on the top inside of the middle canister.

If you own one of the Split Model Units, either the Black Knight or the King III, the metal screen is located on top of the dirt canister. Simply lift off the lid and wipe clear any debris that is present on top of the lint screen. Be sure to place lid back on securely.
